Alpha Steel Factory
Melting iron, recycling steel, and producing billets and steel bars for Iraq's construction sector.
Iraq's integrated mini-mill for billets and steel bars.
Alpha Steel Company (ASC) is located in Sulaymaniyah, north Iraq. We own the Alpha Steel Factory for melting iron, recycling steel, and producing billets and steel bars. Built in 2009, our factory recycles scrap and damaged irons into new construction products such as L-section and reinforcing bars. We are developing a mini-mill steel project — induction furnaces of 12 and 15 tons, a continuous casting machine, and a rolling mill — primarily for the construction sector.

Alpha Steel Products
Alpha Steel produces high-grade reinforcement bars to ASTM A615 Grade 60 — currently in diameters from 10mm to 25mm, with planned expansion to 8–32mm and structural sections including L-sections, I-beams, and H-beams. Every batch is rolled to consistent shape, weight, and mechanical performance for slabs, columns, foundations, beams, bridges, and roads.

Tested. Certified. Trusted.
Our facility includes a fully equipped laboratory for rigorous testing of iron and steel properties — tensile strength, compressive strength, and bend performance. The produced steel bars conforms to ACI 318, ensuring it performs as engineered on every project across Iraq.

Melting, Casting, Rolling — Under One Roof.
Steel scrap and damaged iron enter our induction furnaces (12 and 15 tons, 350 tons/day capacity), are continuously cast into billets, and rolled into finished steel bars — an integrated mini-mill operation positioned to grow as Iraq's construction and infrastructure investment scales.
